I do not have a great deal of time to write news or update my site at this time. However, I will add any new H&D2 screenshots to the Pic's Gallore'ry, and also provide in the Other Miscellaneous section links to any new interviews/previews I come across. Changes will be listed in Site Updates.

Bye Forwarding Pages!
Today I removed every last forwarding page that I could find, and all links referring the the "Construction, check back later" page and deleted that page altogether. If you encounter ANY forwarding pages, or dead links, etc., please let me know ASAP!

That wasn't the only thing I did, I made some small changes to pages that linked to that page, in fact, so many did that I am not even going to attempt to list them all in Site Updates! You'll (very happily) encounter those changes and bye-bye to those AWFUL forward pages that I used (to overcome a problem I had).

You may have already seen it if you have visited them on that URL. However, if you haven't, you simply HAVE to go over and see it! Introducing the Forums Interface!
After all this time, at last I had some time on my hands and essentially completed the H&D Forums interface, for accessing any and every H&D forum I am aware of. It adds the following enhancements to your forum experience:

• Makes all forums easily bookmarkable.
  
  
• Easy to remember URL.
  
  
• Some forum frame interfaces have been improved to to enable more enhanced flexibility and usability.
  
  
• Hidden & Dangerous Emporium remains just one click away.

The interface may still undergo some changes, but for now, have fun and ENJOY!

Small Tidbit
I also had some time today and created one of those tiny little banner add things for linking on other sites to one's own. Anyone who has a site and would like to link to this one is welcome to pop it on their site without my permission. Linking suggestions: exactly as below. Thanks :)

H&D2 Release Confirmed Q4 of 2001
More exact news January, but this much I know: H&D2 has some "interesting things planned", as my contact at Take2 in Europe tells me, Andrew Morley, the producer of H&D2.

I also hear Take2 will look for global release of H&D2, so we won't be waiting in the US an extra 2 to 3 months like with the Devil's Bridge datadisk! This remains to be seen, but it sure rings sweet in my ears! Talonsoft is the North American subsidiary of Take2 by the way, for those of you who don't already know.

Major Site Updates!
Tons of sections on the way, I had some time a few nights when I couldn't sleep and did the entire Pic's Gallore'ry section, so when I have spare bandwidth for two or three hours I will upload it (on my dinky 56K)! I am planning to get the A+ Downloads done ASAP, so those of you who wish to add your own screenshot treasures can convert them to JPEG format with this program... I have yet to write the instructions. Also for all those things which persons new to this awesome game are not yet aware of, like patches—which you all have, I am sure, now with the Action Pack and Devil's Bridge CD having them—and any other misc. in that direction.

H&D Forums Interface is soon to added also, so keep an eye out in my Latest Site Additions for that, all you forum geeks! (Err, me included when I have time).

Extensive removal of forwarding pages, I am finding ways around them, I didn't like them from the first... just I didn't know how to get around some problems with out them. Please update your bookmarks... for this page a quick way is just by

I am sorry after all this time I have not done more of the sections and their titles and such, but time has been in short supply of late, and I like to do everything right the first time if possible... no gunky looking sections to be fixed later, if you know what I mean.

H&D2 Unofficial Site packs weight in News!
H&D2 Unofficial Site has released never before confirmed news about H&D2—extracted from PC Magazine, a MUST READ! Get it directly here!

Not the least of which it tells us that H&D2 is going to let us control airplanes, hopefully with MG's on them!!! Won't that be fun? An air raid shortly after stealing a plane? Better remember to take out the antiaircraft guns first! Just think, that is on top of being able to drive trucks and tanks! Delta Force 2, SWAT 3, and the Rainbow series, none of them let you even drive a car!

Here is an extract, it also tells us that H&D2 will have 24 missions, H&D had 23 (all excellent), cool! The following extract below was copied directly off of the H&D2 Unofficial Site:

"Their will be 24 missions, in 7 campaigns, set in Africa, Burma, London, Normandy, Czech borders and Germany, some tactical like in H&D, Some of them are story driven where you play with one character, Gary Bristol. It all ends with an epic battle between the SAS and the KGB that leads us on to the cold war.. Every mission will be set in a different environment and all have a different goal, and each of these goals is a step towards the goal of the campaign. You will be able to actually take off and fly planes in various missions, here is an example of one of the actual game missions.

Example: You control a six engined Messerschmitt 30023A - A big transport plane. You're flying through a big valley and you are attacked by British fighters (because of your German markings) The flying missions in single player are mostly limited, because you can not fly from the level. However in multiplayer it will be possible to get a plane, fly away and attack from the air."

H&D2 on Playstation 2
Klaas Jan van Dellen (for his website click here) also tells me that he has the official word that H&D2 will be released for the Sony Playstation 2, I have not confirmed this myself as yet. Thank you for the info Klaas!

News News News!
Illusion Softworks website up and running, it is awesome! Check it out here! They tell us they "promise to update more frequently", so be sure to keep checking! Here are a couple of screenshots, not enlarged, that are included in the H&D2 description page.

At last, I can update myself!
Finally, after almost a month I can update my site myself. The version before this my host uploaded for me, and I had no way to modify it, seeing as I didn't have an account on the FTP. After a short time if not being online at all, they have switched FTP's and created me an account on the new server. HURRAY!

First H&D2 Peeks:
The first previews of H&D2 are arriving, along with a brief 12MB video (available here).

My favorite place for H&D news—Gamespot UK—has released a short H&D2 preview, one that everyone should read! I know some other places have also, but I haven't yet gotten a chance to look around, maybe I will have more on this soon.

H&D2 interview by one of the most well known old-timers of H&D: Ojokoltsa with Sep from Illusion Softworks. Short but to the point. Seb tells us that H&D2 will take us (among other things) into:

"...Arctic areas, Africa, Norway, Burma, England, Alps, London, Normandy, Czech (Sumava). Every mission is totally different with different objectives and different environment."

I just cant wait for H&D2!!!!!
